At first, I wondered if my 8 GB card was just a little too light - and thought maybe a 10 GB (or higher) card might help. But the 3D engine is often getting a solid workout. Display: A 15.6 inch display with a Full HD resolution and a helpful anti-glare coating, IPS screen, 1920 x 1080 (16:9) Resolution. I don't see the dedicated GPU memory edge much more than 4 to 6 GB's. Graphics: Intel Iris Xe graphics delivers transformational GPU and integrated graphics to support fluid designing for creators and rich gaming experiences. I tried monitoring my GPU stats, to see what aspect is working the most - when I'm deep into a bigger project. Is 3070 to 3080 a big enough leap, to make it worth it? Or should I look higher?

Should I look into a 3080, or even a higher powered card? I'm curious what others are experiencing.

I keep my drivers up to date, by the way. Announced with the Tiger Lake CPUs last year, the Iris Xe is Intel’s latest integrated graphics unit. I also find that AutoCad will occasionally crash the video 'hardware acceleration' (where it basically errors, and shuts off that function - until I manually turn it back on). Here the only option is the Intel Iris Xe. I find it to be a bit sluggish on some heavier projects, and I've had my share of video crashes (where Enscape crashes, and often takes Revit with it). But I wouldn't say I'm overly happy with it. It's worked well for AutoCad and Revit (Enscape). The only exception, I was only able to get an Nvidia RTX 3070 video card (mine is the Asus ROG Strix). Pretty much all top-end components - at that time. Wa_cq_url: "/content/I bought a brand new computer system about a year ago.
